1. Tea Tree Oil
For centuries a special tea tree oil from Australia was said to be the best cure all, and is still used today on acne, however penicillin has replaced it for most uses. However, it has seen a recent revival due in part to study conducted that proved it to be as effective in treating acne as 5% benzoyl peroxide. Tea tree oil had none of the side effects that benzoyl peroxide does.

It was proven that green tea is as effective in treating acne as a 4% benzoyl peroxide solution. Though the study has not been corroborated yet, it demonstrated that there is another herbal treatment other than tea tree oil.

4. Dong Quai
Stimulates circulation, helping to bring blood to the dermis to help naturally cleanse the skin of impurities.
5. Radix Salviae Miltiorrhizae
